We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Permanent School Nurse to join our team in the Education industry. This is a unique role that combines the healthcare and financial sectors, providing a stimulating and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services to students, faculty, and staff while also having a keen understanding of financial systems and processes. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health services, including first aid, illness, and emergency care to students, faculty, and staff.
• Maintain, update, and ensure the confidentiality of student health records in line with medical and legal guidelines.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to manage student health concerns.
• Develop and implement school health management protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular health assessments and screenings.
• Provide health education and counseling to students, faculty, and staff.
• Participate in the development of the school’s health program.
• Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance companies on behalf of the school.
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and standards within the healthcare sector.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial reports related to school health services.
• Provide financial advice and guidance on healthcare-related matters.
  
  

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a valid nursing license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in school nursing or a similar role.
• Experience in maintaining and managing medical records.
• Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficient in the use of medical software and computer systems.
• Experience in the Accounting + Finance industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and professionalism at all times.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred.
